RILC Travels to Kona

Group photo of RILC students and staff in Kona

On Saturday, RILC held meetings with a dozen people in Kona — ranging from general intakes and screenings for specific issues, to working on client statements and gathering evidence, to informing clients about recent successes in their cases, such as case dismissals, and discussing next steps. Thirty people in all were impacted by our work that day, including children and families.

Thank you to our hardworking and caring RILC students — Miah Bonilla ’25, Brissa Flores ’24, Casey Hearl ’24, Joshua Nam ’24, and Leeyannah Santos ’24 — for assisting with, and even conducting, these meetings. A big mahalo to Ivette Olivares ’24 for interpreting and to Kara Teng ’17 for helping to supervise the student clinicians.
